Vintage *Fred Arbogast "Hula Popper" A Topwater Fishing Lure In Original Box (1940s)

Vintage Fred Arbogast Hula Popper, a legendary topwater fishing lure first introduced in the late 1940s.  This specific model is a 1/4 oz. Spinning Hula Popper in its original "Original Baits" box. 

• Design:  It features a deeply cupped lip designed to displace water and create a loud "popping" sound when twitched, and a pulsating rubber skirt (the "hula") for added attraction.
• Color Pattern:  This particular lure has a frog-style pattern, characterized by a yellow/green body with dark spots.
• Target Species:  It is primarily used for largemouth bass, but is also effective for pike, bowfin, and other gamefish.
