Vintage *Heddon The "Commando" 4.25" Silicon Fishing Lure (1968) + Box

This lure is from 1968, shown here with its original box and in Great Condition.  This original and authentic lure is perfect for catching all freshwater fish species. 

• Manufacturer:  Heddon (James Heddon and Sons, Dowagiac, Michigan).
• Era:  This model was produced in the mid-20th century, typically in the late 1960s.
• Material:  It features a soft, 4 1/4" silicon body with a separate hooking system. The lure is made of soft plastic and/or rubber and features a jointed body and a red-tipped tail. 
• History:  Heddon began producing plastic lures, referred to as "Spook" lures, after World War II.  Heddon Lures is one of the oldest lure companies, established in 1894. 
• Collectability:  The "Commando" model has been discontinued for many years.
